The gardens

Paved paths run between the cottages, past hedges clipped into globes and spirals, raised stone beds and bright celosia.

Look out for the zebra on the lawn and the leopard among the topiary. They are sculptures, and they don't mind being photographed.

The covered patio is the lodge's outdoor living room: wicker sofas with patterned cushions, a carved elephant side table and diamond niches planted with greenery.
